Miguel Mínguez Barroso

Born in Madrid in 1982, Miguel Mínguez holds a degree in Biology from UAM.

In 2011 he obtained a professional diver qualification and joined the team of the company ECOS Estudios Ambientales y Oceanografía SL, as a biologist and professional diver. He worked for two years in the marine environmental sector, participating in various projects for both private companies and public entities. These included the project for the feasibility of the captive breeding of Paracentrotus lividus (JACUMAR Project) and the VENTURI project to eliminate the impact of spills on the marine ecosystem.

Later, once he had strengthened his presence in the environmental sector, he worked from 2013 to April 2014 in the company MARISCOPE Ingeniería SPA, which is located in Puerto Montt, Chile and manufactures ROVs. There, he worked as a ROV pilot and biologist.

In 2014 he combined occasional work as a professional diver with an academic degree as a Technician in Maritime Transport and Deep Sea Fishing from the Institute of Maritime and Fishing Vocational Training in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and from the Institute of Maritime and Fishing Vocational Training in Lanzarote.

In 2016 he worked in the nautical sector as a training complement to the environmental and marine sector, until in 2017 he joined the company ACOSTA INGENIERÍA SUBACUATICA SL, as a biologist and professional diver, to direct the environmental department of the company. He is currently working on Environmental Impact Studies, Environmental Reports, Environmental Monitoring Plans, as well as various assignments as a professional diver and sailor.
