WET participated in the 11th Spanish Conference on Dams organised by the Spanish National Committee on Large Dams (SPANCOLD), held in León and which addressed the problems of Dams and Climate Change, Progress and Technology in the field of dams and water governance.
Wet’s paper on Dams and Professional Diving was selected for a poster presentation at the congress. The purpose of the communication was to communicate the role of professional diving in all phases of a dam’s life, to raise awareness about the risks involved and to highlight the lack of regulation regarding professional diving in dams. The poster was very well received by the conference participants, and was the 4th most highly rated among about thirty of them.
